Have you ever wanted to download audio files from Tumblr? This guide will demonstrate how to save audio from Tumblr using browser extensions and the Inspect Elements feature in most web browsers.
Follow These Steps
Step 1: Access tumblr.com
Step 2: Search for the Audio
Right-click on the audio. Once you see the audio, simply right-click on the audio player to reveal more options.
- Mac users should hold the control key and click to access the same options for any audio.
Choose
Inspect Element or Inspect. This will open the page elements, revealing the coding for the audio link.
Access the Network tab. This tab appears in the top menu ribbon when you open the Inspect Element tab.
Play the audio for a short duration. This is necessary for the audio player to appear in the Inspect Element display.
Right-click or control-click on the size column. Doing so will bring up a menu with additional options for the audio player.
- In some browsers, the size column may not be visible, so you can click on the row where the post appears.
Click Open in new tab. This action will launch the audio player in a separate tab.
Right-click or control-click anywhere within the new tab and choose Save As. This will prompt the dialog window where you can save the audio as an MP3 file on your computer.
