IDM, hailed as the best download acceleration software by users, not only excels in rapid download speeds but also offers various other useful features. One such feature is the ability to schedule computer shutdown after downloading files. This handy feature allows users to automatically shut down their computers after downloading large files that require a significant amount of time. In this article, I'll guide you on how to set up this feature with IDM. Let's get started!
Step 1: Open IDM and navigate to the Scheduler section.

Step 2: In the new window, click on the New Queue button. A small window will appear where you can enter a name for the Queue, then click

Step 3: Once you've finished creating the queue, click on the newly created queue and check the boxes for Turn off computer when done and Force processes to terminate. After selecting, click Apply, then click Close.

Step 4: Return to IDM's main interface, select the download tasks you want to schedule, then right-click and choose Move to queue, selecting the queue you created earlier.

Step 5: After moving the download tasks to the queue, select Start Queue and choose to Shutdown computer after download (the queue you created).

By doing this, we've configured IDM to automatically shut down the computer after completing downloads. Now you can comfortably focus on other tasks without worrying about your computer. Thank you for following along.
