Sometimes, you stumble upon a beautifully designed product on the Internet but lack any information to search for it. On Shopee, you can utilize the image search feature to effortlessly find and purchase the product you need.
1. Image Search Feature on Shopee
Shopee stands out as one of the most popular e-commerce platforms in Vietnam. With numerous stores and brands selling their products, virtually everything you need can be found on Shopee.
However, due to the vast volume of goods, it's often challenging to precisely locate the product you want to buy. You might only know the external appearance of the product without any details about the brand, code, or features, making it difficult to find. But if you manage to save or take a photo of the product, everything becomes much easier.
Shopee's Image Search Feature enables you to upload a photo onto the platform. Subsequently, Shopee promptly analyzes and finds products with similar or closest images to yours. You're then directed to the product's sales page for quick purchase.
2. Guide to Image Search on the Shopee App
The image search function is only supported on the Shopee app for iOS or Android devices. If you haven't downloaded the app yet, you can do so here. But if you already have Shopee on your phone, simply open the app and get started!
Step 1: Begin by opening the Shopee app. On the homepage, tap on the Camera icon next to the search bar.
Allow Shopee to access your Camera if you're using this feature for the first time.
Step 2: Your phone will switch to the image search screen, where you'll find the following options:
- Direct Photo Capture(1): Place the product in front of the camera, then press the circular button in the middle to capture.
- Scan the product's QR code (select Scan QR Code (2)).
- Upload Photo (3): Tap on the small square on the right side to select the image you want to upload. Use this method if you already have a photo of the product saved on your device.
Note: For the system to accurately recognize and find products, you need to take clear, front-facing, well-lit photos. Uploading also requires high-quality images.
Step 3: Receive results for the product you're searching for.
Products matching the provided image will immediately appear as familiar Shopee grid-listings. To purchase, simply click on the desired item to proceed to the ordering page.
If your photo contains multiple different products or the system fails to recognize accurately, reselect the area of the product you're searching for.
It's quite simple. On the search results page, click Edit on the uploaded photo. Then, adjust the bright-colored square to the position containing the product you're searching for. To shrink the square, simply drag its edges inward.
The search results will continuously update below. If the system still hasn't identified the correct product you're looking for, you may need to retake the photo to make the product more clearly visible.
