Setting Default Apps on Android
This setting will be done within the Android Settings. For most phones, the app setting will be under Apps or Manage Apps. For Samsung phones, it will be under Applications and for LG phones, it will be under Apps under the General tab.
Step 1: Swipe down the notification bar from the top and tap on the gear icon. Alternatively, you can also directly tap on the Settings app on the Android screen interface.
Step 2: In Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, select the Apps option -> tap on the gear icon to open the app management interface.
Different LG and Samsung phones have different app management sections.
On LG phones, tap on the options section at the top right corner of the screen. Tap on Configure apps.
For Huawei phones, you need to press the Default app settings option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Here, continue to select the Default applications option to open the default app management interface.
Step 4: At this point, most default app management pages from different manufacturers are similar. Users can customize the default browser, calling app, or home screen whenever they press the Home button.
You just need to select each item like Browser app, calling app/phone app, or messaging app/message app, the operating system will list the apps based on their functionality groups available on the device for users to choose from.
