If you've got a 2006-2009 BMW 3 Series equipped with the Premium Package, chances are you've got Bluetooth functionality. Pairing your Bluetooth-enabled phone with your car is a breeze, with just a few simple steps. Here's what you need to do.
Easy Steps

Insert the Comfort Access remote into the dashboard slot, avoiding pressing the Start/Stop button.

Push the left-side knob on the radio to activate it.

Press the MENU button.

Using the knob on the right side, turn it clockwise until you reach PHONE. If it shows that no phone is paired, scroll down and select PAIR at the bottom of the screen.

Activate Bluetooth on your phone.

Initiate a search for new devices on your phone. Your BMW will have an 8-character ID starting with 'BMW' and ending with the last 5 digits of your VIN (e.g., BMW11111). Choose this device.

Enter a password of 1 to 16 digits on your phone.

Type the same password into your BMW's radio using the soft keys, then press ENTER.

Once your Bluetooth phone is successfully paired with your BMW, your entire phonebook will be synced, and you can access it anytime.
Pro Tips
- Check the BMW website for your country to see the list of compatible Bluetooth devices and handsets.
- In rare cases, you may need to enter the password on your BMW's radio first, then on your Bluetooth-enabled phone.
