If you wish to feel the sun or the breeze on your skin while driving, removing the soft top from your jeep is essential! Similar to a convertible, a soft top jeep enables you to open up your vehicle so you can relish the weather. By simply taking out the windows and folding the soft top down, you’ll be able to cruise and bask in the sunlight!
Procedures
Removing the Rear Windows

Release the Velcro and unzip the side windows. Lift the edge of the soft top slightly to detach the Velcro on top of the window. Beneath the Velcro, you’ll find a zipper along the sides of the window. Unzip it slowly and completely.

Pull down the rear corner flaps and fold them over. Gently pull the bottom edges of the corner flaps located at the back of your vehicle to detach them from your jeep. Fold these flaps onto the soft top roof.
- The corners are secured with sail flaps, similar to the side windows.

Press the latches above the front seat door jambs downwards. Use your fingers to push the latches and release the soft top of your jeep. Once both latches are undone, the top will begin to move backward and open up.

Unlock the latches on the roof of the 4-door jeep model if applicable. For 4-door model jeeps, there are 2 additional latches to secure the soft top. Reach for the latch on the exterior of the vehicle and press it down to release.
- If you own a 2-door model jeep, you can skip this step.

Fold the top back accordion-style and fasten it using Velcro. Ensure that the soft top folds inward on itself, resembling the shape of the letter W or an accordion. Once fully folded down and aligned with the swing gate at the back, use Velcro straps to secure it in place.
