Download and Install the Latest Version of Facebook on Your Phone:

Step 1: From the main interface of Facebook, tap on the Menu with the 3-dash icon, select Settings.

Step 2: Tap on Personal Information under Account Settings, then proceed to tap on Manage Account.

Step 3: On the next screen, choose the Deactivate option.
Step 4: Next, you need to enter your Facebook password to confirm ownership. Press Continue.

Step 5: Facebook will provide you with various reasons for deactivating your account. Choose one of the reasons and then press Continue.
Note: Deactivating your Facebook account does not mean you will delete your Facebook profile.

Step 6: Confirm logging out of Facebook and deactivating your Facebook account, then press Continue.

Step 7: Finally, scroll down and press the Deactivate My Account button to confirm one last time.
