Learn how to toggle Enable Editing or Protected View mode when opening Word or Excel files. When you download Word or Excel files from the internet to your computer, Word, Excel typically requires you to turn off Protected View mode by clicking on Enable Editing in order to edit or print the document. The Trust Center dialog box appears, then select Protected View. Here, you uncheck all settings as shown in the image below, then press Ok.

Finally, you just need to reopen your file without worrying about the hassle of Enable Editing anymore.
