Steps for Transferring Motorcycle Ownership Across Provinces in 2019
1. Preparing Documents for Transferring Motorcycle Ownership Across Provinces
Both the seller and buyer need to prepare the following documents:
* Seller
- Original and photocopy of ID card/resident card.
- Original and photocopy of household registration book.
* Buyer
- Original and photocopy of ID card/resident card.
- Original and photocopy of household registration book.
- Vehicle ownership certificate (for gifts, sales, or inheritance) (also known as sales certificate, gift certificate)
- Vehicle registration declaration
- Proof of prepaid tax
- Original vehicle documents as required
- Declaration of ownership transfer, vehicle relocation, along with the ownership transfer voucher.
2. Steps to Transfer Motorcycle Ownership Across Provinces
Step 1: The buyer presents all necessary documents at the registration office in Hanoi, including:
- Vehicle registration certificate and license plate
- Declaration of ownership transfer and vehicle relocation
- Ownership transfer documents
In case the original owner relocates to a different province, a work transfer decision or a replacement household registration book is required instead of the ownership transfer document.
Step 2: After completing the procedures in Hanoi, the buyer will withdraw the vehicle documents from this office and submit them at the new location.
Step 3: Visit the authorized office in Bac Ninh, pay the registration tax at the treasury and bring the new owner to the registration office, submitting the following documents:
- Vehicle registration declaration
- Proof of prepaid tax
- Original vehicle documents as required
- Declaration of ownership transfer, vehicle relocation, and transfer voucher.
Step 4: Submit the documents and wait for notification to retrieve the new registration documents and obtain the new license plate.
