Instructions
Press the center button.
Press “Unlock” to initiate the unlocking process. The center button will display a small “Unlock” label beneath the temperature reading. Press this button to proceed to the next screen.
- For the 8000 series, press and hold the “System” and “Auto” buttons, then hold the blank lower center button.
Enter the 1234 pin using the + and - buttons.
Adjust the pin on the screen using the plus and minus buttons. After pressing “unlock,” you'll be directed to a blank screen to input your pin. Utilize the + button to add a number and the - button to subtract a number.
- Once you've entered a number, press “Select” to move to the next digit.
- Most Honeywell thermostats have a default pin of 1234, with some models allowing pin changes in security settings.
- For the 8000 series, the default pin is 0670.
Press “Select” to confirm.
Confirm your pin entry by pressing “Select”. After entering your pin, simply press “Select” once more. Your thermostat is now unlocked, granting you access to adjust temperature settings as needed.

Press “back” to retry.
