This guide will show you how to use your favorite TikTok video as the background for your phone's home or lock screen. Whether you have an Android or an iPhone, you can easily turn TikTok videos (provided the user allows it) into live photos that can then be set as your wallpaper.
Steps
For Android Users

- Launch the Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for TikTok Wall Picture.
- Select TikTok Wall Picture from the search results.
- Tap Install and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Locate the TikTok video you wish to use as your wallpaper. You can select any TikTok video for this purpose, provided that the user has not restricted downloads.

Tap on the Share icon. This icon is typically located in the lower-right corner of the video and will bring up a menu of sharing options.
- If you've previously shared videos on other platforms like Instagram, the icon may appear differently but will still open the sharing menu.

Select the Live photo
icon. This icon can be found in the second row of icons and may require scrolling to locate. Tapping it saves the picture to the TikTok Wall Picture app.
- If this option appears grayed-out, it means the video's owner has disabled downloads in their privacy settings.

Launch TikTok Wall Picture. If the app doesn't open automatically, find its robot head icon in your app drawer, or tap on Live wallpapers if prompted.

Choose the downloaded wallpaper from TikTok. This action will show you a preview of the wallpaper.

Decide where to apply the wallpaper. You have the option to set it for your home screen, or both your home and lock screens. However, setting it solely for the lock screen is not supported. Once you've made your choice, your new TikTok video wallpaper will be ready to go.
iPhone Users

Access the TikTok video you wish to use as your wallpaper. Any TikTok video can be utilized as your wallpaper, as long as the video's owner hasn't disabled downloads.
- You can only set the video as your lock screen wallpaper; the home screen can only accommodate a static image as wallpaper.
- Live wallpapers are not compatible with iPhone SE (first and second generation) or iPhone 6 and earlier models.

Tap on the Share icon. This icon is represented by a curved arrow located in the bottom-right corner of the video. Tapping it will bring up a menu of sharing options.
- If you've shared videos through other apps like Instagram, the icon may appear differently but will still access the sharing menu.

Choose the Live photo icon. This icon can be found in the third row of icons, and you might need to scroll to locate it. It appears immediately after 'Add to Favorites' and just before 'Share as GIF.' Selecting this option saves the video as a live photo.
- If this option appears grayed-out, it indicates that the video's owner has disabled downloads through their privacy settings.

Scroll down and select Wallpaper. Look for it in the third section of settings.

Tap on Choose a New Wallpaper. This action will display a list of your photo albums.

Choose Live photos. This will show all the live photos on your iPhone, including the one created from the TikTok video.

Tap on the Live Photo to open it. This will bring up a preview, allowing you to adjust the perspective by moving or zooming in and out.

Press Set. This option is located in the bottom-right corner. Tapping it will expand a menu.

Touch Set Lock Screen. Since live photos cannot be used as home screen wallpapers, select the lock screen. This will apply the TikTok video as your lock screen background.
- When your screen is locked, you will see a still image from the video. To play the video, simply tap and hold.
