2. Using VPN Gate to Fake Your IP Address

Step 1: After completing the installation of VPN Gate software, the user interface named SoftEther VPN Client Manager appears. Here, double-click on the VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Server line to open the list of servers and establish a VPN connection.

Step 2: A dialogue box opens up. Click OK to proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Immediately after, a completely new dialogue box appears with a list of VPN servers from various countries as shown in the image below.

Step 4: In this list, drag the dialogue box to the right and click on the Ping tab (Google, SE) to sort by the lowest Ping and highest Line Speed (servers with low Ping and high Line Speed ensure stability when creating a VPN).

For example, in the image above, Mytour will try with the Japanese server. To connect, we will click on the Connect to the VPN Server button below the dialogue box.

Step 5: Immediately, a dialogue box appears. Click Agree to initiate the connection.

Step 6: Next, the software will proceed to create a virtual network card and assign the corresponding IP address for the selected connection. Click OK to confirm.

Upon completion, you will receive a notification of connection to that VPN Server.

On the software interface, you will see the VPN Gate Connection line in a Connected state along with a specific IP address. Directly below is the virtual network card that has been created.

When you no longer wish to fake your IP, simply right-click on the VPN Gate Connection line and select Disconnect.
