How to Use Color Pop Feature on Google Photos for Android
The Color Pop feature has been integrated into Google Photos for quite some time, yet few users are aware of it, and even fewer utilize the Color Pop feature on Google Photos for Android. The feature is designed based on two factors: the user's device and the version of the Google Camera app, and it supports editing images captured in Lens Blur mode and Portrait mode.
On some devices, the feature may not be supported and may not work with images captured in Portrait mode, but it will work with images captured in Lens Blur mode.
All you need to do is capture an image, and the feature will center the subject of the image. However, it's important to note that AI doesn't always work accurately. After capturing and processing the image in Lens Blur mode, the next step is to open your image in the Google Photos app and press the Edit button.
At this point, the screen will display various filters that you can apply to edit the image, and Color Pop is one of these filters. Select it and edit it the way you want, such as changing the focus point of Color Pop.
After completing the editing, press the Save button to proceed with saving the edited image, and the image will be saved as a copy.
The example below illustrates how to apply the Color Pop feature, where the image on the left is the original image, and the image on the right has undergone editing using Color Pop:
If the Camera on your Android device doesn't support Lens Blur mode, try searching for and installing Google Camera app versions for Android that provide additional support for this mode from the Google Play Store. In the example above, the photo was taken on a Nexus 6P.
Alternatively, if your Android device has other Camera apps installed that support Lens Blur mode, you can try and apply Color Pop to capture photos on those apps. However, Mytour cannot guarantee whether the feature will work on the app or not.
