Procedures
Installation of WinRAR
Visit the WinRAR installation page. Navigate to
https://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=6 using your preferred web browser.
Click Download WinRAR. This clickable blue button is positioned at the top of the page. Clicking on it will redirect you to an advertisement.
- If your operating system is a 64-bit version of Windows, locate and click the click here link located beneath the blue button. Check your system's bit count before proceeding with the 64-bit link.
Click on the Continue to download WinRAR link. You'll find this option positioned at the top of the page. This action will initiate the download process for the WinRAR setup file to your computer.
- Depending on your browser, you may need to confirm the download or specify a save location initially.
Double-click on the setup file. This file is easily recognizable by its multicolored appearance and is typically located in your computer's default downloads folder.
Select Yes when prompted. This action will launch the WinRAR installer for you to proceed.
Click on Install. This option is located at the bottom of the installer window. By clicking this, you will commence the installation process of WinRAR on your computer.
Ensure the checkbox next to 'RAR' is ticked. You'll find this option located at the upper-left corner of the WinRAR window.

Utilizing WinRAR
Launch WinRAR. The WinRAR application icon resembles a stack of books.
Access the File menu. You'll find it positioned at the upper-left corner of the WinRAR window.
Click on Open archive. This option is located at the top of the File drop-down menu.
Choose your RAR file. WinRAR typically opens to your desktop; if your RAR file resides there, simply click on it to select.

Press Open. This button is positioned at the window's bottom. Clicking it will open your RAR file within the WinRAR window.
