The resurgence of Covid-19 has disrupted people's lives, posing various challenges, especially in heavily affected areas like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. With directive 16 in place, social distancing measures enforced, accessing medical services and purchasing essential goods have become more difficult. Hence, numerous applications and features such as SOSmap and Zalo Connect have been deployed to aid people in need, facilitating quick access to community assistance and timely support from volunteer organizations.
Utilizing Zalo Connect feature, Connecting for Covid-19 relief
Zalo Connect is now available in various provinces and cities... Using Zalo Connect feature is incredibly simple, allowing you to search for relief or find troubled areas quickly and efficiently.
Download the latest version of Zalo app to your device:
- Download Zalo for Android: Zalo for Android
- Download Zalo for iOS: Zalo for iPhone
Note:
- If you don't have a Zalo account yet, you need to download Zalo to your device and proceed with Zalo registration to use Zalo Connect feature. Refer to the article How to register Zalo to easily create a Zalo account on your phone or computer.
- Zalo Connect feature is currently being rolled out, so many Zalo accounts may not display this feature. If your Zalo account displays it, you can follow method 1; otherwise, follow method 2 to use Zalo Connect.
- Use Zalo Connect feature on Android, iOS phones. Mytour will guide you on how to use it on Xiaomi, iPhone, Samsung phones... the steps are similar.
Method 1: How to use Zalo Connect feature when Zalo Connect is displayed
Step 1: On your phone, open Zalo (log in if you're not already logged in), look at the bottom, tap on the clock icon (Journal) (Image 1). Tap on 'Join now' (Image 2).
Step 2: Zalo Connect will appear with 2 sections.
* If you need help, tap on 'I need help' (Image 3). The request support interface will appear, in the 'Select support category' section, choose the appropriate category, then in the 'Support details' section, write down the items needing assistance, the more detailed, the better and the faster the support (Image 4).
After you've filled it out, swipe the screen up and then enter information into each box: Name, Province/City, District, Ward, Address (Image 5). Then when you've entered all the information, the Share information box will turn green, you tap on it to send the support request (Image 6).
* If you want to help others during the Covid season, click on 'I want to help' (Image 7). Then, look down at the interface, some support items are displayed, if you don't want to support any item, then you click on that item to cancel (Image 8).
Now, look at the map, you will see the support icon, click on it (Image 9). You will see the request from the supporter appears, click on 'Message' (Image 10) to communicate with the person in need of support.
Note:
- Depending on each area, there may be few or many people in need of support, and Zalo Connect will confirm and display those in need of support near your living area within a radius of about 5km.
- Depending on the level of support, the icons on the map will have different colors.
Then, you can fully support the person you message with the necessary needs.
Method 2: How to use Zalo Connect feature when this feature is not yet displayed
Step 1: Send a message with the link https://connect.zalo.me/covid_soshttps: to your friends on Zalo and then click on the link you just sent (Image 1). At this point, Zalo Connect will appear as in Image 2.
Step 2: You do the same as step 2 in method 1 and you're done.
