- Click on the Start
button and choose Run.
- In the Run window, type %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a, then press Enter.
- In the Activate Windows notification window, if you see the text Windows Product Activation, then Windows XP is activated.
- However, if you encounter the text Let’s activate Windows, then Windows XP is not activated.
