1. HP Pavilion 15 2019 - Super Slim Desktop Laptop
The latest Pavilion version brings a solid configuration for its price, showcasing an attractive design, though the display is not an IPS panel.
HP Pavilion 15 is a 15.6-inch laptop that can replace a desktop, impressively slim at 17.9mm thickness and weighing 1.89 kg. The drawback is its TFT display instead of IPS, limiting wide-angle viewing. However, it compensates with Full HD resolution, surpassing the common 1366 x 768 pixels in similar models.
Equipped with Bang & Olufsen premium speakers and a diagonal striped design above the keyboard, HP maximizes the large screen space to include a dedicated numeric keypad for Pavilion 15.
The machine adopts a chiclet keyboard design with a satisfying key travel, excellent bounce, and easy operation, comparable to typical desktop keyboards. However, due to the separate numeric keys placed close to the alphabetical keys, it takes some time to get accustomed.
The laptop maintains the standard USB-A port alongside an SD card slot, power jack, and Kensington lock on the right side. Despite its large size, Pavilion 15 lacks a dedicated optical drive reader.
On the left side, the laptop features additional ports including HDMI, LAN port, headphone jack, and a USB-C port with the new 3.1 standard. Unfortunately, it does not support Thunderbolt 3 technology like the Envy 13. Another drawback is that the laptop cannot be charged directly through this USB-C port.
HP Pavilion 15 utilizes the Core i5-8265U processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz, Nvidia MX130 graphics with 2 GB GDDR5, 8 GB RAM, and a 256 GB SSD priced at 17.6 million VND.
