Qingyun G540 is one of the products to be released by the company during the spring flagship product launch event on March 23 this year. The new model will have some differences compared to the Huawei Matebook series. Notable features include a physically controlled lid, a flexible hinge that can rotate 180 degrees, and water spill resistance.

Regarding specifications, Qingyun G540 features a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, IPS panel, 300 nits brightness, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 60Hz refresh rate. However, the new laptop will unfortunately only be equipped with 12th-generation Intel processors including Core i7-1260P, Core i5-1240P, and Core i5-1235U.
Additionally, the product will come pre-installed with Windows 11 Home Chinese Edition and offer two battery capacity options including 42Wh and 56Wh. The overall dimensions of Qingyun G540 will not be too compact, specifically 325 x 218 x 172mm. At the same time, the weight of the two battery capacity options will have slight differences.

Qingyun G540 will belong to a new separate product line compared to the current Huawei MateBook series. The standout feature of the product is its rugged design with the world's first drop resistance capability. The laptop only offers a single color option which is Space Gray. Currently, Huawei has not disclosed any further details including the retail prices of the product.
