Huawei has officially launched the Mate X3, the next-generation foldable smartphone following the Mate X2 of 2021.

Mate X3 still retains the book-like folding design from the Mate X2 but has been significantly reduced in size and weight, with a thickness of only 5.3mm when unfolded.
Another upgrade is the addition of the IPX8 waterproof standard, a rare feature for foldable devices and currently only found in Samsung's latest foldable phones. Having a waterproof standard while maintaining a thin design is a notable highlight of the Mate X3.
The hinge of the Mate X3 has also been redesigned to be able to open at any angle, similar to Samsung's Flex mode on their phones. This allows the Mate X3 to use features like opening partially to serve as a stand for taking photos, watching movies, or making video calls...
