Huawei's Mate X2 Launches on February 22nd

Huawei has officially announced the release date for its upcoming foldable phone, the Mate X2, scheduled for February 22, 2021. This marks the third iteration in Huawei's foldable smartphone lineup, following the Mate X and Mate Xs. Initial impressions from the images suggest that the X2 will fold inward, a departure from the outward fold of the current Mate Xs.

In contrast to Samsung, Huawei takes a different approach to foldable phone design, opting for an outward fold and featuring a single display. While this design choice results in a larger external screen, it also comes with its own set of limitations.

Possibly on the Mate X2, Huawei may follow Samsung's lead, meaning the screen could fold inward. In that case, the phone would feature a secondary display and a redesigned camera setup. Stay tuned, folks.
