The Hue Imperial Tomb of Co Thanh, designated a national heritage site in 1997, is currently abandoned and undergoing severe deterioration with no one taking care of it.

Co Thanh Tomb, also known as the tomb of Nguyen Phuc Con – the adoptive father of King Gia Long, is located on Hung Nghiep Mountain in Cu Chanh Village, Thuy Bang Commune, Huong Thuy Town (Thua Thien – Hue Province), more than 5km from Hue City. Despite being part of the historic complex of Hue, it urgently needs restoration and protection. However, it currently presents a desolate scene.
Throughout the entire premises, wild grasses grow abundantly, and local residents utilize the Co Thanh Tomb grounds for grazing cattle, raising buffalo, and planting flowers and fruit trees around the site.
It is known that this severe degradation has persisted for many years, yet there has been no visible effort from any authorities for restoration and preservation.
