1. Health Matters
At 22, your health is at its peak. Scientifically proven to have perfect metabolic processes, you can party all night, travel extensively, and eat instant noodles for a month without consequences. Seize the moment, try everything you've ever desired, and conquer the mountains you've dreamed of climbing.

2. Continuous Learning
At 22, it's crucial to embrace learning. You're no longer the naive college student who doesn't know anything. At 22, we need to distinguish between types of wine, know what gift to buy for whom and on what occasion, understand a few classical music pieces, write a decent CV, and compose a polite letter to the boss. Girls should know how to do makeup, and guys should know how to wear a suit and tie. You're grown up now, you're 22 now.

3. Embrace Failure
It's the year to stumble and rise, to make mistakes, take questionable decisions, take risks, and be foolish. Feel free to have a hilariously mismatched hairstyle, fall in love with the wrong person, spend all your savings on a crazy plan. Just stepping into life, what do you have to lose? If things go well, you achieve something. If not, you learn something. No one blames you because, after all, you're just 22.

4. Chase Your Dreams
At 22, you're free to dream and pursue it without any fear of obstacles. Before this? You were still in school. After that, you had a stable job, or worse, a family with a couple of kids. Not to condemn family life, but the truth is, you can't selfishly chase your personal passion when carrying the weight of responsibilities. 22 might be the only year where you're an adult but not burdened with the responsibilities of one.

5. Embrace Challenges
The only way to truly know what you want is to take challenges, and there's no better year to try different options than when you're 22. Experiment with different jobs until you find the one you love. Try living in different cities, different countries to discover where you belong and, more importantly, to view your own homeland with a more objective eye. Try a business venture, start collaborating with some friends, then build a team all aiming for success. Try dating different people until you find the one who fits you. How do you know if you don't try?

6. Make Money
You earn your first bucks, signifying the year you realize how hard it is to make money. You learn to value hard work, use money wisely, and, most importantly, appreciate your parents for supporting you for 22 years. Suddenly, you feel both tiny and terribly grown up at the same time.

7. Responsibilities
So what about responsibilities towards family? At 22, you've just graduated from university, meaning you've just started your career, and your family will cut you some slack. Parents will understand if you're not making a lot of money. They'll be forgiving if you're not meticulous during holidays. Trust me, rarely will there be a year when parents will be as supportive as when you're 22.
