1. Chùa Hang
Chùa Hang, also known as Phuoc Dien Pagoda, is located about 1km from Chua Ba Chua Xu Nui Sam and has a history of over 100 years. To reach Chua Hang, you have to climb 300 steps, and upon reaching, you'll be greeted by the temple's flower garden with a lotus pond and various other flowers. From here, you can overlook the valley with lush green rice fields. If you visit in the early morning, you'll experience the majestic scenery and catch the faint scent of incense blending with the chanting of prayers. The temple bell contributes to the serene and tranquil atmosphere.
Chua Hang is renowned not only for its enchanting landscape but also for its many legends and fascinating myths. Established around 1840 - 1850, initially as a bamboo and palm leaf hermitage by Ms. Tho, whose real name is Le Thi Tho (1818 - 1899), with the Dharma name Dieu Thien. She, a seamstress in Cholon, established the hermitage for meditation when she was young. Perched on the slopes of Mount Sam, Chua Hang offers visitors an incredibly delightful experience—an atmosphere that is both charming and sacred. This hundred-year-old temple provides a spacious and serene environment full of solemnity.


2. Nui Cam
Mount Cam, also known as “Ong Cam Mountain” or “Thien Cam Son,” located in An Hao commune, Tinh Bien district, has an elevation of 705m above sea level, with a circumference of 28,600m. Particularly, the summit of Bo Hong on Mount Cam is the highest peak in Thất Sơn and also the highest mountain in the Mekong Delta. Possessing a majestic appearance, a pleasantly cool climate, and breathtaking scenery with lush greenery throughout the year. Visitors to Mount Cam can explore remarkable architectural structures such as Van Linh Pagoda, Bo Hong Temple, and the Buddha Di Lac Statue. Among them, activities like mountain climbing, exploring caves, or bathing in streams are widely embraced by tourists.
Today, thanks to its location and beautiful tourist spots, Mount Cam has become an ideal eco-tourism destination for those who love adventure and exploration. You can conquer Mount Cam in An Giang at any time of the year, but if you want to participate in local festivals, it is recommended to visit around April and August. During these months, the Bà Chúa Xứ (Lady of the Realm) festival and the seven-mountain bull racing festival take place, attracting numerous visitors.


3. Victoria Núi sam
Located 284m above sea level, Mount Sam boasts 200 temples, pagodas, shrines, and towers scattered from the foot to the summit. Besides being known as Mount Sam, this mountain is also recognized by other names like Vinh Te Son or Ngoc Lanh Son. With lush green forests and a refreshing atmosphere, visitors not only enjoy the serenity but also capture beautiful photos. Standing atop Mount Sam, tourists can admire the panoramic view of Chau Doc and the Vinh Te Canal all within sight. Mount Sam leaves a lasting impression with its expansive view of the delta region, especially the border area, allowing tourists to marvel at the picturesque landscapes of An Giang.

Although the road may be a bit challenging and rough, you can take a boat to easily navigate through the corners of the forest. Sitting on the boat, you will hear dozens of birds singing melodiously on the reeds, captivated by the cool beauty of the forest, and observe the yellow water lilies swaying gently. It is an exciting experience that you cannot miss when boating on this vast water field.
Tra Su Melaleuca Forest is considered the most interesting and unique tourist attraction in An Giang. Visitors will be amazed by the rows of melaleuca trees on both sides of the road. Moreover, you can admire vast rice fields with storks flying amidst the towering cajeput trees. Currently, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest is home to 70 bird species, 11 mammal species, 25 reptile species, and 10 fish species. In addition, the melaleuca forest is a gathering place for 140 plant species belonging to 52 families and 102 genera, including 22 timber species and many other types of trees. It offers you a trip full of experiences and excitement.


5. Mount and Lake Ta Pa
Ta Pa Hill in Nui To commune, about 1km from Tri Ton, is one of the seven mystical mountains that make up the Thất Sơn region. At the summit, there's a large Khmer pagoda and a jade-colored lake called Ta Pa Lake, surrounded by rocky cliffs. The air here is fresh and cool, and the environment is pristine. The wilderness and richness of this land, the venerable grandeur of the pagoda, and the hospitality of the locals create a distinctive feature of Ta Pa Lake. 6. Bung Binh Thien
Bung Binh Thien is located 35 km from the center of Chau Doc city, An Phu district, near the Cambodia border. Bung Binh Thien consists of 2 lakes, namely Bung Lon and Bung Nho. Among them, the name of the lake refers to Bung Lon with a water surface area of 193ha and an average depth of about 5m. Visitors can come to Bung at any time of the year, but according to the experience of those who have been, traveling during the flood season is the most beautiful (from the 7th to the 10th lunar month).
Bung Binh Thien possesses unique characteristics compared to many ordinary lakes. The water is clear all year round, only rising and falling instead of flowing. The mouth of the lake connects to the Binh Di river branch. But the strangely red water with alluvial silt, when touching this mysterious lake, turns into a vivid and pristine green mirror. The vast expanse of clear green water is in stark contrast to the muddy water of the canals, ditches, rivers, and lakes around the region, even during the flood season when the muddy water flows in. This makes Bung Binh Thien one of the most fascinating natural wonders in the world.


7. Floating Village Chau Doc
In the heart of Chau Doc city, you will discover Floating Village Chau Doc, one of the popular tourist attractions in An Giang province. Along the river, each boat appears as a connected apartment, forming a unique floating village with the distinctive style of the An Giang river region. The main mode of transportation here is small boats, and they make a living by raising Basa fish. The fish farming profession has been thriving for decades and shows no signs of decreasing the number of fish farms in this area. What's more interesting is that when you visit, you can learn about fish farming and gain insights into this fascinating trade.
The scene on the calm and cool river becomes even more enchanting as the evening sets in. At this time, trading activities on the floating village are no longer bustling, families gather after a hardworking day. The floating houses on the Bassac River begin to light up. The light from the floating houses reflects on the water, resembling a city at night floating on the river, creating a truly romantic scene. If you come to Chau Doc without visiting the Floating Village, it would be a missed opportunity.


8. Co To Mountain - Tuc Dup Hill
Co To Mountain is located 59km from Long Xuyen, situated in the region of Seven Mountains. Tuc Dup Hill is a hill at the foot of Co To Mountain, where legendary fairy tales unfold. According to the stories, in the past, Co To Mountain was a place where fairies descended to play and bathe in the streams. The fairies playfully threw stones at each other, and the falling rocks formed a smaller hill, which is now known as Tuc Dup Hill.
At Co To Mountain, you'll find majestic mountain scenery and gentle winding streams, creating a landscape akin to a 'fairy scene on earth.' As for Tuc Dup Hill, it bears witness to the heroic feats of the people of An Giang during the resistance war against the United States. Over 40 soldiers fought and took refuge here for 128 days and nights, enduring relentless bombing by the enemy. The total cost the U.S. spent to eliminate Tuc Dup Hill was 2 million dollars, hence its nickname '2 Million Dollar Hill'.


9. Latina Lake
Latina Lake, also known as Stone Lake, has recently become extremely popular, attracting many young people for photo shoots. Photography enthusiasts often visit Latina Lake to explore its picturesque and surreal photo spots. The lake is situated at the foot of Forbidden Mountain, near the path leading up the mountain. It is a pristine lake formed through human quarrying of stones, resulting in a unique landscape. The crystal-clear water of the lake allows you to see your reflection like a transparent mirror, revealing the bottom of the lake.
Next to the lake are large rocks left after the quarrying process, scattered around. The most unique feature is a large rock wall with deep vertical lines, resembling a gigantic folding screen. To reach Latina Lake, head to Forbidden Mountain, reach An Hao, go straight until you find Hương Sen Cafe. Turn into the alley there, and you'll reach the lake. If you're not familiar with the route, don't hesitate to ask the locals for directions to Stone Lake (known locally as Stone Lake), they will gladly guide you.


10. Óc Eo Archaeological Area
Óc Eo Archaeological Area preserves remnants of the Phu Nam culture, offering evidence of a once glorious era on the S-shaped land. Although the Phu Nam culture has faded away, the remaining artifacts provide insights into the lives of our ancestors. An Giang, Kiên Giang, and Đồng Tháp are regions where numerous ancient remnants of the Phu Nam kingdom were discovered, with An Giang being particularly rich in archaeological sites. Located in Thoại Sơn district, part of the Ba Thê mountainous region, Óc Eo Archaeological Area was a bustling port town of the Phu Nam kingdom, serving as a trade hub with neighboring countries such as Malaysia and India.
Today, Óc Eo Archaeological Area attracts collectors and archaeologists who are eager to explore the historical values preserved here. In addition to the recognized 4,500-hectare archaeological site, there are mysterious areas in the southwestern region of Vietnam, such as Đồng Tháp Mười, Châu Đốc, Kiên Giang, that still puzzle researchers and archaeologists. Óc Eo Archaeological Area in An Giang is not just a tourist destination for regular sightseeing; it is also a place where the younger generation can glimpse and learn about historical events that have been passed down through the ages.
