It's quite a messy combination, too many details, too much... aluminum, fabric, stainless steel, rubber, buttons... Rarely does an Apple product have such an abundance of colors, details, materials, all coexisting like this. Just look at other Apple products like the iPhone, Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, MacBook, HomePod, Airpods, iPad, iMac, Apple Watch... they're all so simple in terms of colors, materials.Like the digital crown for instance, it looks beautiful on the Apple Watch, like a standout feature, but on the Airpods Max, it's simply a feature without any real design coherence.I can envision two earpiece covers on each side when touched, or accidentally bumped into, it feels artificial, like touching the surface of a MacBook... it's very unnatural. Then it bulges out perfectly, and any damage will be easily noticeable.Rarely does an Apple product debut leave me uninspired like this Airpods Max. It makes me appreciate more, love more my similarly priced B&O H9i headphones.
