This renowned café serves up authentic cups of coffee, perfect for visitors exploring the majestic Gia Lai mountain range.
Iconic Coffee Shop in Pleiku Center Celebrating 50 Years
Located on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Pleiku, this café has been a beloved spot since the 1970s. Current owner, Mrs. Kim Hoa (born in 1961), is the younger sister of the original founder. “In 1971, my sister opened a small refreshment stall which eventually grew into what it is today,” shared Mrs. Hoa.

Like many other places, coffee is the beverage of choice to kick-start the day. According to the owner, the café used to offer various breakfast options like noodle soup and crab noodle soup, but eventually decided to focus solely on coffee.
The café uses coffee beans cultivated and harvested by the family in Gia Lai. This not only reduces operational costs but also assures customers of the quality and origin of their coffee.

The café bustles with activity as early as 6:30 in the morning. Elderly groups engage in conversation, others read newspapers on their phones, while some new tourists from Ho Chi Minh City explore the mountain town.
The café boasts a bright and spacious atmosphere. Guests can choose to sit at the front, overlooking the bustling street, or inside for a quieter ambiance.
A tourist from Ho Chi Minh City shared his first experience in Pleiku, relishing the coffee here. “The coffee flavor is bold, unlike what I usually have in Saigon. This café is also comfortable, and the staff are very attentive,” he said. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen, a regular customer for many years, mentioned, “I live in Pleiku. Every morning, I come here to have coffee before heading to work,” he said.
