The USB-C port of the iPad mini is designed in a modular form, allowing for easy removal, unlike other iPad generations where the USB-C port is typically soldered in place.
Finally, iFixit rates the repairability of the iPad mini at 3 out of 10 - typically, previous iPad generations scored around 2 or 3 points according to iFixit. Note that lower scores indicate higher repair difficulty.
