In the unfortunate event of your Facebook account being hacked or accessed without authorization, quickly follow these steps to minimize potential risks.

1. Log out of Facebook on unfamiliar devices
When malicious actors gain control of your Facebook, they may log in from various devices to prevent you from logging out. To address this issue, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access Facebook Settings through the link https://www.facebook.com/settings
Step 2: Then, select the Security and Login section.

Step 3: Here, you'll find the Where You're Logged In section – a list of devices logged into your Facebook account. Next, choose See More to view the complete list.

Step 4: Now, monitor the list and identify unfamiliar devices not owned by you. Once identified, select Expand -> Log Out.

2. Change Your Facebook Password
Even though the system prompts you to change your password when you recover your Facebook account, for added security, select Edit to change your password again.

Enter a new password, ensuring it includes numbers, and click Save Changes to complete the process.

3. Clear Password Rememberance, Login Information
There's a high probability that malicious actors will store login information and passwords for subsequent unauthorized access.
For safety, select Remove Account to eliminate all login information. After Removing the Account, subsequent logins will require you to use your username and password.

4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Facebook currently supports two-factor authentication (password and confirmation code). When you activate this feature, logging in will require a confirmation code sent to your phone or a 2FA code. In this article, Software Tips will guide you on enabling two-factor authentication via SMS.
Choose Edit under Use Two-Factor Authentication to initiate the setup.

Next, select Use Text Message (SMS).

In case you prefer using 2FA, you can follow the article on How to Use Authy for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Then, select your primary phone number. Keep in mind that if you don't have your phone with you, you won't be able to log in.

Finally, enter the Code sent to your phone and select Continue to complete the process.

5. Activate Login Alerts
When you enable login alerts, you'll receive notifications on your phone and Gmail when an unfamiliar device accesses your account. This allows you to quickly terminate unauthorized access.
Step 1: Choose Edit under Receive alerts about unrecognized logins.

Afterward, turn on all notifications and press Save Changes to complete.

6. Set Up Trusted Contacts
Trusted contacts assist you in recovering your account and prevent unauthorized logins. Choose close friends or family members from this list to avoid any mishaps.
First, select Edit to add friends to the list. You can add 3-5 friends to enhance security.

7. Log out from other apps, social platforms
Currently, numerous platforms and apps can connect to Facebook to retrieve login information for their own applications. Some apps pose significant risks, and it's hard to predict them all.
Step 1: In the Facebook Settings interface, select Apps and Websites.

Step 2: Then, confirm unfamiliar and potentially dangerous apps to select Delete.

After implementing a series of security settings like these, rest assured that hackers will have to concede defeat against your Facebook account. Wishing you a joyful day ahead!
