Discovering 9Life Hotpot & BBQ while searching for a gathering spot with friends on the PasGo booking app, I stumbled upon their tempting offer and immediately made a reservation. With 3 locations to choose from, I opted for the one on Tran Dai Nghia for its proximity. 9Life Hotpot - Modern, youthful ambiance
Upon stepping into the restaurant, my friends and I were in awe of the architectural space here. Despite being an eatery with affordable prices, 9Life is far from ordinary in appearance. With a three-story layout and modern, youthful design dominated by red, green, and black tones, the restaurant exudes sophistication.
As we sat at the table, the ambiance of 9Life continued to captivate us. The prominent red chairs, stylish round red lamps, and playful superhero-themed banners featuring Spiderman and Ironman caught our attention. Despite the warm and subdued tones of red, green, and black, 9Life's space doesn't feel dark or enclosed thanks to its large, wide windows that welcome sunlight and artificial light, creating a sense of spaciousness and airiness. Sitting by the window, we even had the opportunity to admire the street view while dining.
All the seats are sofa chairs, providing a very comfortable dining experience.

9Life Hotpot & BBQ caters to meat lovers' cravings.
Having checked out the space, now it's time to review the food! Our group is all about meat, so we unanimously opted for the hotpot and grill buffet. Even if you're just into hotpot, there's plenty of options available! When the staff brought out the food, I was overwhelmed by the variety - beef, chicken, shrimp, squid... it's a diverse spread of dishes that looks exciting!
The restaurant's grilled meat isn't heavily marinated; instead, it's coated with a layer of sauce to enhance the flavor, rich and robust. Surely, the restaurant aims to preserve the freshness and quality of the ingredients. And indeed, grilling a piece of meat on the sizzling grill, the aroma is incredibly tempting, making everyone eager to dig in right away. Each bite of the tender, not overly chewy meat is deliciously sweet. Considering the relatively low price for such a satisfying buffet, the quality is outstanding, and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you visit here!
The staff here are incredibly attentive, always replacing the grill plate promptly so the grilled meat never gets burnt.
When indulging in grilling, remember to save room for the hotpot! When the staff sets up the grill and brings the hotpot to the table, once again, I'm impressed by the abundance of hotpot ingredients, just as much as the barbecue. Initially, we thought we'd only try a little bit of the hotpot since we had already filled up on barbecue, but it turned out to be so good that we ended up having a second round.
The fresh meat and vegetables look so delicious; just looking at them makes you want to eat.
Since we've had Thai hotpot many times before, we decided to try the mushroom hotpot this time. It's even listed as the exclusive 9Life hotpot on the menu, so it must be special. As soon as the broth started boiling, I took a sip, and indeed, the hotpot broth here deserves high praise. Who says mushroom hotpot is bland and unremarkable? The broth has a fragrant mushroom aroma and a sweet richness from the simmered bones. Once you've tasted it, you can't forget this delicious flavor. The meat dipped in the broth blends perfectly with its delicious taste. I was quite full already, but I still had to try more.
