An American couple, Mike and Anne Howard, embarked on a honeymoon of a lifetime, traversing 6 continents, visiting 33 countries, and exploring 302 destinations, during an epic 675-day vacation.
While most newlyweds anticipate settling into life and typically delay immediate actions, young American couple Mike and Anne Howard, post their big day, decided that a short honeymoon wasn't romantic enough for them.
As a result, Mike and Anne Howard decided to utilize their savings, quit their jobs, and embark on an impressive adventure, leading them to become the couple with the world's longest honeymoon. During their journey, they set foot on 6 continents, traversed 33 countries, and explored 302 destinations in a 675-day vacation.

Mike shared: 'We've met some friends who were considering going on a world tour, and we've also talked to some who have already completed their journey. So, we thought we could absolutely do something that most people have to wait until retirement to accomplish. And that's this world's longest honeymoon!'
And true to the modern traveler's style, they also regularly blogged, their blog now attracting over 7,000 online followers.
Anne, serving as a magazine editor, and Mike, a media professional, jointly shared their travel escapades on HoneyTrek.com/TripCoach, aiming to disseminate their travel experiences with friends and family.

Their journey commenced in South America, then traversed through Africa, Asia, and Europe. They regularly posted images of their travels and the places they visited on various social media platforms. Their travel ethos revolves around venturing into remote locales, places they believe might become challenging to reach as they grow older. The couple particularly adored their travels to Myanmar, captivated by the friendly locals and the diverse cultural tapestry.
Mike also held a profound affection for the rural retreat, Entre Cielos, in Mendoza, Argentina. He shared: 'Only a handful had been here before we stayed in the house. They've constructed a small loft above a vineyard, designed in the style of German Treehouse architecture. To reach the accommodation, you have to traverse through a vineyard, climb stairs, and enter this vineyard loft. Here, there's a large Jacuzzi outside on the balcony. It's truly a marvelous wine-tasting spot.'
The couple also expressed that they've had numerous memorable experiences together, making it challenging to list them all. However, the most unforgettable moments of their journey include visiting the Maasai Mara reserve in Kenya on an open-top vehicle and encountering a curious leopard jumping onto their jeep; diving to explore a World War II wreck in Coron, Philippines, and witnessing the phenomenon of the Northern Lights in Norway.
Both spouses attest that their journey has strengthened their bond and deepened their mutual understanding. In an interview with CNTraveler.com, Anne shared her profound love for Mike, always believing their journey would be smooth-sailing. Mike added: 'We only became better husband and wife as we commenced our journey. It's amazing when you have someone to share experiences with, laugh together after frightening incidents, and as a result, we're stronger.'
