Xiaomi 12 Lite Launch: 108MP camera, 120Hz OLED display, attractive price (update: 07/09)

After numerous leaks and product advertising campaigns, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has finally been officially launched with many notable highlights.

Specifically, the Xiaomi 12 Lite features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, supporting HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The screen has a small pinhole located in the center (housing a 32MP selfie camera), supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Personally, I find the support for a 120Hz refresh rate to be a major plus for the Xiaomi 12 Lite compared to the previous generation, making user gestures and interactions smoother.

Inside the Xiaomi 12 Lite is the Snapdragon 778G processor (manufactured on a 6nm process), with options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. What's New with Xiaomi 12 Lite? Design reminiscent of Xiaomi 12 series

Recently, information from the Gizmochina website revealed new images of the design of the Xiaomi 12 Lite. Through these leaked images, we can see that the appearance of Xiaomi 12 Lite will embody the distinctive design elements of the previous Xiaomi 12 series.

The front of the Xiaomi 12 Lite will still feature a hole-punch display similar to most other mid-range Android devices on the market today. The device may be equipped with a larger 6.55-inch AMOLED panel, significantly larger than the 6.28-inch size of the standard Xiaomi 12 version. Moreover, it is highly likely that the device will have Full HD+ resolution accompanied by a 120Hz refresh rate, making all your swipes and touches smoother.

On the back of the Xiaomi 12 Lite, we will easily notice a rectangular camera module with colors matching the familiar back panel, along with unique striped lines. Although this design approach is not new, it is beautiful and stands out more than other competitors in the same segment. This is a high-end processor with 8 cores and is manufactured on a 6nm process, featuring the Kryo 670 CPU cores clocked at 2.4 GHz. Snapdragon 778G 5G also supports 5G network technology with the advanced Snapdragon X53 5G Modem-RF system.

Alongside this, Xiaomi 12 Lite will also be equipped with 128 GB of internal storage along with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM to ensure that the device can maximize its performance and easily handle all tasks from basic to advanced.

In this version of Xiaomi 12 Lite, the device may be powered by a 4,500mAh battery. This is a modest capacity for a mid-range smartphone, but to achieve both the exterior and internal performance similar to a standard 'flagship,' I think compromising on battery capacity is a reasonable step Xiaomi will take to offer users a more affordable price.

However, Xiaomi will also provide better support to users by equipping the device with 67W fast charging, similar to the standard Xiaomi 12 version. This could be an addition to compensate for the slightly modest battery capacity that Xiaomi wants to offer users!

• Ultra-wide Camera: 8 MP resolution.
• Macro Camera: 5 MP resolution.
• Selfie Camera: 16 MP resolution.

It seems that in this version of Xiaomi 12 Lite, Xiaomi has chosen to upgrade both the hardware and camera aspect of the device. According to leaks, the main 108 MP sensor of Xiaomi 12 Lite will be significantly upgraded compared to the main camera on Xiaomi 12 (Xiaomi 12 has a 64 MP main sensor). However, the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera is reduced from 13 MP to 8 MP, while the macro camera will remain at 5 MP.

Overall, these are very good camera specifications for a mid-range device, and if the leaks are true, Xiaomi 12 Lite can definitely deliver exceptional results for you!

How much does Xiaomi 12 Lite cost? When will Xiaomi 12 Lite be released?

As of now, the information about the price and official release date of Xiaomi 12 Lite has not been disclosed yet. According to sources from Gizmochina, the device is likely to be unveiled in the near future. Personally, I think the device will be released in the third quarter of this year, and based on the leaks above, I believe Xiaomi 12 Lite will have a price range of 7 - 7.5 million VND for the standard version. If the leaks turn out to be true, this is a completely reasonable price considering what the device offers.
