Chrome browser often uses full CPU to process data and images. This makes your computer consume more resources and will be slower when using multiple browser tabs. It can even freeze with insufficiently strong configurations. However, there are still ways for the GPU to share some of the processes that the CPU has to handle. And in this article, I will guide you on how to speed up Chrome browser to help your computer consume less CPU, reduce lag during use.
Speed up Chrome browser
The tool I'm using here is GPU Rasterization which helps the computer utilize the GPU instead of the CPU to lighten the load.
Step 1: You open a new browser tab and enter chrome://flags then press Enter.
Step 2: Then, you copy paste GPU Rasterization into the search bar and select the item with the text as shown in the image. Then press the dropdown menu > Select Enable.
Step 3: Finally, you select the Relaunch option below to restart the browser and save the settings.
Step 4: If you want to turn off this feature later, do the same and change it to Default, then restart Chrome.
