Just a few hours ago, in the match within the LCK Summer 2022 group stage rematch, T1 faced off against Fredit BRION (BRO). Considered the weakest opponent in the LCK Summer this year, Faker and teammates aimed for nothing less than a convincing victory. However, BRO displayed unprecedented determination, taking the lead after the first game with remarkable performances from all five players, especially 'The' Morgan facing off against Zeus. Yet, in games 2 and 3, they lacked the resilience to overcome T1. Faker and teammates successfully staged a comeback, winning 2-1 overall.
Broaching the subject of victory, Gumayusi boldly proclaims his supremacy over Ruler, Aiming, and Prince in the realm of Marksmen.
Of course, T1 fans and the LCK community are no strangers to Gumayusi's outspoken style. The T1 ADC is always known for his shocking statements, whether T1 is winning or losing, and whether his performances are genuinely good or not. Gumayusi himself has faced criticism at times for his overly confident remarks.
In the Summer of 2022, Gumayusi and Keria are no longer the formidable bot lane duo they once were in the previous Spring Split. Both players haven't been performing exceptionally well. In particular, Gumayusi sometimes becomes the team's vulnerability.
But regardless, confidence is an essential factor, especially when facing strong opponents. Undoubtedly, fans hope that Gumayusi can talk the talk and walk the walk. Because only when he and his teammates are focused and shining in the games, can T1 have a chance at securing the title this Summer.
After this victory, although not the most prominent figure in gameplay and occasionally making wrong moves, ADC Gumayusi remains incredibly self-assured in his interview. Specifically, the 2002-born player asserts confidently: 'There are currently 3 ADCs with very high scores in the rankings for outstanding performances this season. They are Aiming, Ruler, and Prince. But I believe I am better than all three of them. Of course, I won't just talk, I'll prove it through actions. So, in the upcoming matches, I will focus and annihilate every opponent.'
