For the first time in PUBG history, a team gets eliminated in this manner.
Recently, a professional PUBG team from Thailand made a memorable performance at the biggest tournament of 2023. It was none other than Purple Mood E-Sport (PLM) - an organization with a decade-long legacy and impressive achievements.
During this year's PGC tournament, PLM faced a swift downfall and had to fiercely compete to return to the final qualifiers. However, luck was not on their side as the Thai squad unexpectedly lost the $2 million prize due to several absurd reasons.

Specifically, in the third match of the loser's bracket, PLM encountered numerous opponents early on, leaving only Flukky alive. While striving to survive against two EXO Clan members on the outskirts, Flukky was unexpectedly attacked by a white bear, knocking him out of the game. This extraordinary event, unprecedented in professional gaming history, left many PUBG players astonished and buzzing with discussions.

Since version 22.1, PUBG has introduced polar bears to the Vikendi map. These creatures are extremely aggressive, immediately attacking players upon detection. The only way to preserve one's life when being pursued by a bear is to run as fast as possible. Even hiding inside vehicles won't shield players from their relentless attacks.

Following this unexpected defeat, PLM quickly lost control and plummeted down the leaderboard uncontrollably. Ultimately, they lost by 2 points, allowing SSG to surpass them and snatch the last position, leaving PLM to depart in disappointment. Thus, the $2 million prize became nothing but an elusive dream for the five young Thai players. Hopefully, after this shock, PLM will pay attention and devise new strategies to return stronger in the future.
