A Chinese millionaire with the username Sunwear on Weibo stated that he withdrew 5 million CNY, equivalent to over $780,000 USD, from the Shanghai Bank due to its poor customer service. Remarkably, he requested bank staff to manually count the entire amount to 'prevent any discrepancies.' This task took the staff over two hours to fulfill the customer's request.According to Sunwear's account, upon entering the bank, the security guard denied him entry for not wearing a mask. He claimed to have asked the guard to direct him to a nearby store selling masks, asserting his willingness to comply with pandemic regulations. However, the guard's 'poor attitude' left him displeased. Sunwear mentioned intentions to withdraw tens of millions more from this bank and deposit them elsewhere.
Regarding the stance of Shanghai Bank, they assert that their employees were not at fault in the incident.
