Horse Kicks - athletic footwear tailored for horses, inspired by human designs such as the Air Jordan 1 High “Court Purple” and the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Dazzling Blue” by Adidas. These Horse Kicks are priced at $1,200 (approximately ₫29,000,000).
The Horse Kicks are the creative endeavor of sneaker customization expert Marcus Floyd, also known as Infinite Kustomz. Originating from Lexington, Floyd has explored the art of shoe deconstruction and reconstruction at The Shoe Surgeon’s SRGN Academy. He now pioneers a novel category within the realm of athletic footwear.
Marcus sees this as a unique challenge, being the sole individual in Kentucky to deconstruct and reconstruct sports shoes, and likely the only one worldwide to do so for horses.
Utilizing human shoe deconstruction techniques and adapting them for equine use, Floyd has crafted a selection of highly distinctive athletic footwear versions for horses. Each pair retains the distinguishing elements of their original designs and brands, whether it be Air Jordan, Yeezy, or New Balance 650. While incorporating athletic shoe elements, the final product remains fundamentally a horse hoof, meeting the unique ergonomic requirements of equine anatomy.
Horse hooves have remained virtually unchanged for centuries. But that could change with the emergence of horse shoes.
To garner attention for his new business venture, Marcus Floyd has created some special horse shoe models for the Fall 2022 collection. Among these are horse athletic shoes inspired by the Air Jordan 1 High “Court Purple” and the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Dazzling Blue” by Adidas.
Starting from October 24th, Horse Kicks shoes, customizable to the customer's liking, can be designed based on the customer's preferences and creativity.
Horse Kicks are crafted based on a pre-made protective shoe for horses. Although we see these as works of art, Horse Kicks can be worn 100% on a horse's hoof. The first horse to wear Horse Kicks is named Bear from Millennium Farm. Bear has become the 'brand ambassador' for Horse Kicks by starring in the brand's introduction video and photo shoots.
The first line of Horse Kicks products will be displayed at the Lexington city center at the corner of Main and Broadway during this year's Breeders' Cup Festival on November 4-5.
Three unique designs from this Horse Kicks shoe collection will be donated and auctioned off at the Lexington Sneaker Ball event on Saturday, November 12th. And all proceeds will be donated to local charities supporting minority communities in Central Kentucky.
For $1,200 USD (approximately 29 million dong), you can customize your own shoes on the Horse Kicks website starting from October 24th. But if you're someone who likes to thoroughly research and be meticulous before making a purchase, Horse Kicks will also be hosting a pop-up at this year's Breeders' Cup World Championship in Kentucky from November 4th to November 5th.
The Sneaker Ball Lex charity event will also feature the Fall 2022 collection on display and up for auction on November 12th. Additionally, Marcus Floyd will allocate 10% of the proceeds from Sneaker Ball Lex to charitable organizations.
