Quach Tinh takes center stage in the novel 'The Lovable Rogue' by the late author Kim Dung. He also makes an appearance in the epic 'Condor Heroes.' Born to Quach Khieu Thien and Ly Binh, his life is anything but ordinary.
In the early chapters of 'The Lovable Rogue,' Quach Khieu Thien, along with his wife Ly Binh and the couple Duong Thiet Tam and Bao Tich Nhuoc, lived peacefully in Nguu Gia village under the Lâm An estate. However, their tranquility is disrupted when they encounter the Daoist Master Toan Chan, a disciple of Khuu Xu Co, who had just killed the notorious villain Vuong Dao Can.

Khuu Xu Co, at the residence of Quach Khieu Thien and Duong Thiet Tam, single-handedly defeats the pursuing soldiers, earning the admiration of everyone present. He suggests names for the unborn children of Quach Khieu Thien and Duong Thiet Tam, naming Quach Tinh and Duong Khang respectively.
Tinh Khang, the reign of King Tong Kham of the Tống Dynasty, came to an end as both King Tong Kham and King Tong Huy were captured by the Jin forces, marking the conclusion of the Northern Tống dynasty. Khuu Xu Co wishes these children to remember the humiliation of their country and hopes they will restore its glory, defeating the Jin invaders when they grow up. The names symbolize the patriotism of Tinh and Khang. The two brothers vow that if they both have sons, they will be sworn brothers, and if they both have daughters, they will be sisters. If one is a son and the other a daughter, they will be husband and wife.
However, tragedy strikes. Among the soldiers pursuing Khuu Xu Co is Hoan Nhan Hong Liet, the sixth prince of the Jin dynasty. Struck by an arrow from Khuu Xu Co, Hoan Nhan Hong Liet coincidentally encounters Duong Thiet Tam's wife, Bao Tich Nhuoc, who nurses him back to health. Enchanted by the gentle and benevolent nature of Bao Tich Nhuoc, Hoan Nhan Hong Liet secretly supports Doan Thien Duc with gold and silver, urging him to attack the Nguu Gia village and massacre the Quach-Duong families. Quach Khieu Thien is killed by the Jin forces, while Duong Thiet Tam is gravely injured, losing his wife and children.
Deceived into believing her husband's death, Bao Tich Nhuoc is saved by Hoan Nhan Hong Liet and taken to the Kim capital. Grateful, she agrees to marry him but opts to live alone in a small tent resembling her village days. In the land of Kim, Bao Tich Nhuoc gives birth to Duong Khang.

Upon learning of the harm befallen upon the Quach-Duong families, Khuu Xu Co, filled with anger, vows to seek Doan Thien Duc for revenge on behalf of his dear friends. Meanwhile, after Quach Khieu Thien's death, Ly Binh is captured by Doan Thien Duc. Escaping on the way, she flees to Mongolia. Here, she gives birth to Quach Tinh, and both mother and son are saved by Thanh Cat Tu Han, residing in the Mongolian plains.
In this narrative by the venerable Kim Dung, Hoan Nhan Hong Liet is the sixth son of the Kim empire's emperor, Emperor Chuong Tong Hoan Nhan Canh, bestowed with the title of Trieu Vuong. During his birth, the Kim empire was entering a period of decline, while the Mongolian tribes were growing under the leadership of Thiet Moc Chan. Hoan Nhan Hong Liet is seen as one of the last talents of the Kim empire. Intelligent, strategic, with many schemes, he dreams of ascending the throne and unifying China. In stark contrast to his elder brother, the Third Prince, Vinh Vuong Hoan Nhan Hong Hy.

Despite knowing that Duong Khang is not his biological son, he still holds deep affection for him. This father-son duo is perfectly aligned in plotting strategies, conspiring to eliminate martial arts experts and launching attacks on the Great Song. They invite martial arts masters such as Sa Thong Thien, Hau Thong Hai, Banh Lien Ho, Linh Tri Superior, Luong Tu Ong, and Au Duong Khac to discuss this plan. He quickly becomes an enemy of both Mongolia and the Great Song.
Ultimately, Hoan Nhan Hong Liet goes as an envoy to Hoa Thich Tu Mo, advising the king to resist the Mongolian forces. At this time, after Quach Tinh searches everywhere for Hoang Dung but fails to find her, he returns to Mongolia, following Thanh Cat Tu Han's Western expedition, attacking Hoa Thich Tu Mo. Hoan Nhan Hong Liet is dealt with by Thanh Cat Tu Han.
