Meanwhile, after Quach Khieu Thien's death, Ly Binh is captured by Doan Thien Duc. Escaping on the way, she flees to Mongolia. Here, she gives birth to Quach Tinh, and both mother and son are saved by Thanh Cat Tu Han, residing in the Mongolian plains.

In this narrative by the venerable Kim Dung, Hoan Nhan Hong Liet is the sixth son of the Kim empire's emperor, Emperor Chuong Tong Hoan Nhan Canh, bestowed with the title of Trieu Vuong. During his birth, the Kim empire was entering a period of decline, while the Mongolian tribes were growing under the leadership of Thiet Moc Chan.
