Enjoying coffee comes in various styles: some prefer cafes with beautiful decor, others love the panoramic views of lakes and rivers, while some like to observe the hustle and bustle of the city and its vibrant streets.
If you lean towards the type who appreciates a modern street view and, of course, a comfortable space to savor coffee, then Lack Tack Coffee in the review below is a must-visit.
Location Insights
Situated at 6 Lieu Giai (Ba Dinh, Hanoi), anyone who has ventured through this area can affirm without hesitation: Incredibly spacious and easy to locate!
Lack Tack boasts a storefront overlooking Lieu Giai Street – one of the major and vital arteries of the city – resulting in less confusion and claustrophobia often associated with establishments tucked away in narrow alleys.
Nestled amidst the bustling street, Lack Tack is accompanied by a generously wide sidewalk. This not only diminishes the impact of noise and dust within the venue but also provides a more comfortable space for parking.

Overall Impression
The initial captivating feature at Lack Tack is the abundance of greenery. From two long rows at the entrance to both the interior and exterior corners, balcony, and even the walls... everything is adorned with the lushness of plants.
What makes it unexpectedly delightful? It's been quite a while since I encountered a cafe right on a major street that prioritizes greenery to such an extent. The effort in selecting aesthetically pleasing plants, rather than a random choice, adds an extra layer of sophistication.
General Impression
In the overall perception, most coffee shops investing in spaces along bustling streets tend to maximize their operational area as much as possible. The more they save space to accommodate more customers, the better. Hence, decorative plants often get sidelined in their plans due to concerns about space utilization and additional preparation and care costs.
Decor & Furnishings
While the exterior boasts a white tone, the entire indoor space is coated with a smooth gray faux concrete finish, creating a much gentler visual effect. Lack Tack's decor style is quite minimalist, utilizing only a few frames and a stylishly embellished logo on the wall, resulting in an overall clean and uncluttered appearance.
The first floor primarily features small tables, while the upper levels offer additional cushioned seats for larger groups or tall and spacious tables ideal for those working. The modern and sleek design of the pendant lights, coupled with warm yellow illumination and numerous indoor plants, creates a comfortable and relaxing ambiance.

If you desire an open space flooded with natural light, Lack Tack's third floor is the ideal choice. The balcony is adorned with abundant greenery, though it might be a bit noisy and windy, not the most convenient spot for work.

Beverages
The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of items from coffee to tea, smoothies, and more. The average price falls around 40,000đ-50,000đ.
Due to a slightly uneasy stomach, I opted for a gentle Hot Ginger Honey Tea at Lack Tack. The tea is subtle, with a hint of orange adding a pleasant aroma. While not exceptionally outstanding in flavor, it earns small points for its beverage presentation.

Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi at Lack Tack seems to lag when numerous people are accessing it simultaneously. I presume this is because, upon arrival, there was a group of customers at a working table with laptops, causing the Wi-Fi to load rather slowly. The speed improved a bit once they left.
Service
The staff is gentle and accommodating, creating a positive interaction with customers; no complaints whatsoever.

So, the charming transitional area between Cau Giay and Ba Dinh districts now boasts another beautiful spot for coffee enthusiasts. Situated near several schools and offices, one hopes Lack Tack Coffee will capitalize on this advantage to continually thrive and provide even more fulfilling experiences for its clientele.
