An infrared remote is a device that emits infrared signals, used for remote control purposes (up to 10m range).
The remote receives control commands from the user through buttons, then outputs a data frame corresponding to the pressed button. Controlling your home TV with a smartphone that supports infrared is incredibly convenient, isn't it?
Today, I'll guide you on how to control your TV using infrared on Samsung smartphones with infrared support, such as Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy S6... all capable of controlling your TV.
Step 1: Navigate to the Apps section.
Step 2: Select the app Peel Smart Remote.
Step 3: Scroll down and choose Country/Region.
Step 4: Click on TV.
Step 5: Choose the TV Brand that matches your home TV, for example: Select Sony TV.
Step 6: Proceed to the next step.
Step 7: Point your phone at the TV and press the power button (refer to the instructions).
Step 8: If the TV turns on, select OK, if not, choose No and try again.
Step 9: Choose Agree.
Step 10: Select Finish.
Step 11: At this point, you've completed the setup and can control your TV.
Step 12: If you want to switch to another TV device, follow the instructions and click on the three-dot icon as shown.
Step 13: Navigate to Settings.
Step 14: Access Peel Reset where you can set up your new device.
