The world's first camel-exclusive traffic lights came into operation in April 2021 at the Minh Sa Mountain and Moon Palace Scenic Area in Donghuang City, Cam Tu Province.
Innovative Camel Traffic Lights Debut in China
This system was introduced to alleviate traffic chaos at the intersection between the wooden pedestrian path for tourists and the camel route. Local authorities affirm that this is the world's inaugural traffic light system tailored for camels.

To install the lights, the construction team cut a section of the wooden path for tourists and created a separate pathway for camels. Traffic signal lights regulate traffic flow at the new junction.

Following numerous collisions between vehicles and camels, authorities installed a distinct type of light to aid these animals.
