Boiled meat might seem too familiar and dull for your taste buds. So why not give our zesty tomato and shrimp boiled meat recipe a try?

Pickled shrimp is a famous and enticing dish from Hue that everyone knows. It can be transformed into numerous elaborate or simple dishes, but one thing remains undeniable: no matter how it's prepared, it's always delicious and impressive. Pickled shrimp has brought a refreshing twist and added flavor to the already familiar boiled meat.
Ingredients:
- Pork belly: 400g
- Pickled shrimp: 100g
- Pickled sour eggplants: 100g
- Fresh ginger
- Sugar, seasoning salt, garlic
How to Make Sour Tomato and Shrimp Boiled Meat:
Step 1:
- Carefully remove the hair from the pork belly, then wash it thoroughly with water.
- Place the meat in a pot and add enough water to cover it completely for even cooking and to prevent discoloration. Then add 1 teaspoon of salt and turn on high heat.
- When it boils, reduce the heat and simmer until the meat is cooked. You can test if the meat is cooked by inserting a chopstick into the middle. If you still see pinkish liquid, continue boiling. But if the meat is tender, remove it to a clean bowl of cold water to cool completely before removing.

Step 2:
- Cut the tomatoes in half or thirds depending on the size. Soak the cut tomatoes in a bowl of clean water and gently squeeze to remove excess seeds.
- Peel and finely chop the garlic.
- Marinate the tomatoes with chopped garlic and ½ tablespoon of sugar, mix well, and let it soak for about 20 minutes. Sugar will help the tomatoes firm and crisp while garlic enhances their flavor.

- Peel and wash the ginger. Slice thinly and julienne to mix with the tomatoes.
- Then add the pickled shrimp and mix thoroughly together.

Once finished, serve the pickled tomatoes and shrimp in a small dish, thinly slice the boiled meat to accompany. This sour tomato and shrimp boiled meat dish pairs perfectly with spinach soup or morning glory. Wishing you success and enjoyable meals with your family!
