Traveling to the UK for International Visitors

Who Can Travel to the United Kingdom?
Both fully vaccinated and UNVACCINATED travelers can visit the United Kingdom. However, travel restrictions will vary depending on your vaccination status.
For Fully Vaccinated Travelers:
- No need for COVID-19 testing before and after arriving in the United Kingdom.
- No mandatory quarantine required.
- Complete the passenger locator form before arriving in the United Kingdom.
For Unvaccinated Travelers:
- Provide a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours before departure.
- Pre-book COVID-19 testing services before traveling to the United Kingdom; COVID-19 testing must be conducted after your first day in the United Kingdom.
- Complete the passenger locator form before arriving in the United Kingdom.
(*) Children under 18 and UK citizens are exempt from medical requirements applicable to fully vaccinated travelers as outlined above.
Which COVID-19 Vaccines Are Recognized for Entry into the United Kingdom?

To be considered 'fully vaccinated,' you must have received at least 2 doses of one of the following vaccines:
- Covaxin
- Moderna
- Janssen (single-dose vaccine)
- Novavax (Nuvaxovid and Covovax)
- Oxford/AstraZeneca
- Pfizer BioNTech
- Sinopharm Beijing
- Sinovac-CoronaVac
The final dose must be administered at least 14 days before your departure to the United Kingdom (excluding the vaccination day).
Is Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Required?

The answer is Yes. You must present evidence of vaccination from an approved vaccination program. You can present the following certificates to demonstrate your vaccination status:
- NHS COVID Pass for England and Wales.
- COVIDCert NI for Northern Ireland.
- European Union Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC).
- United Nations Vaccine Program for staff and volunteers.
- A recognized foreign vaccination program with proof of vaccination will be accepted.
Valid vaccine certificates must include full name, date of birth, brand and manufacturer of the vaccine, vaccination dates for each dose, and the country or territory where vaccinated.
Is Mandatory Quarantine Required When Traveling to the United Kingdom?
Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to quarantine upon arrival. However, if you are not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated, you will need to quarantine if the PCR test result on day 2 is positive.
What If I Test Positive for COVID-19 After Arrival?

In the unfortunate event of testing positive for COVID-19 after arriving in the United Kingdom, you may isolate at your accommodation (hotel, resort, private residence, friends' or relatives' home, etc.). Quarantine rules apply to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers with different durations of stay:
If you are not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated and test positive for COVID-19 on day 2 of the PCR test, you must complete mandatory self-isolation for 10 days. The day of the positive test result is considered day 0.
If you are fully vaccinated but experience any of the following COVID-19 symptoms on or after day 2 from arrival, you may also self-test for COVID-19:
- Fever, continuous cough
- Loss or change in sense of taste or smell
If you test positive for COVID-19, you may shorten your self-isolation to 6 days instead of 10. You must undergo rapid testing on day 5 and day 6, and:
- Both tests must return negative results.
- Tests must be at least 24 hours apart.
- No fever symptoms.

If not staying in the United Kingdom and CTA for 10 days, you need to:
- Present a negative rapid COVID-19 test result upon entry to destinations.
