The new Cache CSGO map draws inspiration from a ghost town in Ukraine called Pripyat, near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The map is incredibly realistic, capturing the natural details of an abandoned place and is set to be released in October this year.
Counter-Strike Global Offensive's Map Cache Gets a Revamp
The first map adjustment unveiled today at ESL One New York introduces an added window in the middle. Counter-Terrorists (CT) can exploit this advantage by peering through the small window, checking for Terrorists (T) contesting in the middle of the map.

Another substantial advantage for Counter-Terrorists is their ability to jump onto the truck near CT-spawn, enabling them to monitor the A-bombsite area. The towering building has been replaced with a wall, providing CTs with a strategic advantage and better combat positions.
Now CSGO players can leap onto the available default boxes and onto the catwalk outside the wall, in the B-bombsite area. This allows players to secure a robust cover position, keeping the area safe from bomb planters, the terrorists.
Terrorists can now penetrate thin walls with AWP rifles and strategically choose positions for both offensives and defenses outside the B-bombsite area.
Another alteration in the Cache CSGO map allows players to throw grenades into the ceiling gap without hindrance, thanks to a skybox hole in that location. Undoubtedly, this will aid Terrorists in attacking the A-bombsite area with more diverse tactics.
Counter-Terrorists (CTs) now have a new position to thwart Terrorists attempting to pass through ventilation openings towards the B-bombsite. To reach this spot, players first need to jump onto a small protruding heat vent on the wall and then onto some crates.
The redesigned Cache CSGO map seems to slightly favor CTs. Another crucial position for them in the B-bombsite area is atop a light fixture. To reach this position, players simply need to run and jump from the catwalk onto the top of a small light suspended on the wall.
