Brake Inspection

• You need to check the brake lever reach. If the brake lever reaches too far towards the handlebar, it will be difficult to engage the brake and can be dangerous, so adjust it to the right reach for safety.
• For brakes with cables, turn the cable tension knob to reduce the reach of the brake lever when engaged and turn clockwise to tighten the cable. Adjust the cable tension knob while squeezing the brake lever to check for the right reach. Then, turn the locking ring clockwise to secure the cable tension knob.
• Check the wear of the brake pads, if the brake pads are worn close to the metal part or have a thickness of about 1mm, they should be replaced.
