According to information gathered by Mytour.vn, the photo-sharing social network Instagram is testing the ability to insert links into Stories via Stickers. This feature is currently available to a small group of users, and Vishal Shah, head of product at Instagram, says this experiment is to understand how people utilize links, as well as to ensure they don't use this feature to push spam and misinformation.
Links in Instagram Stories are shared as Stickers
Thus, with the ability to share links in Stories through new stickers, instead of swiping up on the screen to open a link, users will only need to tap on the sticker to access external websites. People will also be able to reply to Stories with link stickers, something they can't do with Stories shared as 'swipe up for more details.'
