At this point, it's entirely possible to say that
Instagram redesigns its IGTV app with a focus on creators.
Download or update the latest version of Instagram as well as IGTV:
When you open the IGTV app for the first time, the most noticeable change you'll notice is the new 3-button navigation bar at the bottom of the interface. The company says the homepage is 'completely redesigned' to highlight Creators, the content creators the app thinks you'll want to watch.
Taking a page from Instagram's main app, IGTV features a Discover tab displaying videos from more creators. Initially launched, the IGTV app mainly highlighted content from people you follow, as well as popular videos on the platform.
Speaking of Instagram, the company has also adjusted how IGTV videos appear as Stories. As before, people can share their IGTV videos to Stories, but now you'll see a 15-second preview clip instead of the app highlighting a single frame of the video. Perhaps the goal here is to encourage people to swipe through and watch a full video. To make video recording easier, Instagram has also added a hands-free recording mode.
For the most part, it seems like the majority of Instagram users have accepted this platform. Earlier this year, the company removed the IGTV icon from its main app. At that time, very few people were using the shortcuts. However, at least the new IGTV will receive more than what we were offered thinly and simply before and will have a new lease on life.
