Step 1: Download the Auto-Tune version of your choice from the Antares Auto-Tune website.
Step 2: Ensure that Adobe Audition is closed. Hover over the taskbar to display all running programs. If you see Adobe Audition still open, click on it and click the X
Step 3: Double-click the Auto-Tune EXE file. This will initiate the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 4: Double-click the Computer icon on your desktop. For Windows 8, click the File Explorer button on the taskbar. Then, navigate to C: > Program Files > VST Plugins. This is where the DLL file for Auto-Tune resides after running the EXE file. Confirm that the Auto-Tune file is here.
Step 5: Next, launch Adobe Audition and click Effects > Audio Plug-In Manager > Add to add the VST Plugins folder and press OK. In the Audio Plug-In Manager window, click the Scan For Plug-in button. A pop-up window will appear, displaying the installed VST plugins on your computer. By default, Auto-Tune will be selected. If not, check the box next to Auto-Tune and press OK.
Step 6: Click the Multi-track button in the top right corner of the window and select FX on the Track Controls panel. Click the effects selection box and choose VST, then click Auto-Tune to activate the plug-in.
