Learn how to set up and use Skype on Ubuntu
Step 1: Install and use Skype on Ubuntu by first clicking on the Menu icon, then searching for Terminal. Once found, simply click to open Terminal. Here, enter the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner'
Step 2: Note that when entering the password, characters will not be displayed, so just type it in and press Enter.
Step 3: Enter the command sudo apt-get update to proceed with the update process.
Please wait for a moment while the system updates.
Step 4: Now, click on Ubuntu Software to begin installing Skype.
Step 5: Search for Skype and then click Install.
Step 9: Return to the Ubuntu app store, and log in to your account as usual.
Then, confirm your password before installing Skype.
Step 10: Continue to click on the Install section to proceed with installing and using Skype on Ubuntu.
Step 11: After this step, return to the Skype desktop and search for Skype to find it.
Step 12: In Skype, proceed to log in as usual.
Use your Skype account and log in as you would on the Windows version.
Immediately afterward, the Skype interface will appear, and we can use Skype on Ubuntu.
