It's fair to say, TikTok stands out as one of the most popular platforms nowadays but it also harbors numerous risks to users if not meticulously moderated.
TikTok isn't just prevalent in the Vietnamese market but globally. TikTok emerged as the most downloaded mobile app in 2021 with over 656 million downloads. This signifies its immense popularity and user base.
Not only viewers, but TikTok has also spawned numerous famous TikTokers. However, alongside the benefits, the app's drawbacks have raised concerns. Various deemed harmful content, 'dirty content,' have stirred societal outrage. Alongside this are decadent trends, even bordering on 'deviant,' created by a portion of TikTok users.
From Famous TikTokers
Certainly, TikTok users still remember 2022 when TikToker No Oh No sparked widespread condemnation with the series 'What Do Poor People Eat - No Oh No Provides.' Derogatory remarks, disrespectful attitudes towards the elderly have left viewers extremely indignant. Immediately after stirring online outrage, both authorities and mainstream media outlets vehemently criticized TikToker No Oh No.

Previously, TikToker Lee Bubble also sparked condemnation from the online community for a video of 'cloud hunting' on an airplane. The TikToker stated, 'This is the first time I speak out after the incident of filming by the airplane window. Initially, I saw the clip as a trend on social media and I followed suit without considering its consequences.

I filmed this clip not to absolve myself of any wrongdoing but to highlight that if people continue to make such clips, it will jeopardize flight safety and endanger your lives and those around you.
In late 2021, amid the tense pandemic situation, two famous female TikTokers 'removed their masks' to film dance clips at My Dinh Stadium.
Recently, a TikToker with a blue checkmark also produced a series of clips that left viewers shaking their heads in disgust, as she encouraged '18+ exchanges.' Many were disgusted by the actions of even famous TikTokers, whose ultimate purpose seems to be solely for 'views' and fame.
Even Ordinary TikTokers
Even regular TikTokers can generate a slew of inappropriate clips. In 2020 - 2021, many trends deemed very decadent were born on the TikTok platform. From language, expressions to images appearing in the clips, all were extremely harmful. What's noteworthy is that these trends became popular and were shared and 'covered' by many young users.

In mid-2022, a series of TikTokers filmed themselves dancing on airport runways or even sitting on baggage carousels. These harmful trends have caused TikTok to increasingly lose favor among users.
Recently, TikTok has been pointed out for numerous violations such as:
Ineffective control of violating content
Using algorithms to spread clickbait content, chasing views
Lack of measures to control, prevent business activities, trading, advertising...
Failure to manage the activities of TikTok idols
There are no measures to control copyrighted content violations.
There are no management measures for users to independently use private, personal images.
