According to the reports, “MacOTAKARA believes that instead of being an iPad update, the Apple Pencil 3 will be launched with interchangeable magnetic tips.”
Last month, leaker 'Majin Bu' revealed that the new Apple Pencil will feature interchangeable magnetic tips for drawing, technical drawing, and sketching.
The second-generation Apple Pencil was announced on October 30, 2018. It came with a non-magnetic tip and included interchangeable tips. However, users could attach this magnetic pen to some iPad models.
Apple currently sells the first-generation Apple Pencil with a Lightning charging port for the 10th generation iPad and some older iPad models. There are indications that this model of Apple Pencil may soon be updated with a USB-C connector. The original Apple Pencil was released in November 2015 for $99.
