HP Envy laptop models will undergo a refresh with Intel Raptor Lake processors (Image: WhatNext)HP's entire Envy laptop lineup will undergo a makeover with Intel Raptor Lake processors, including models with 360-degree folding screens like Envy X360 14, Envy X360 15.6, and Envy 17 (excluding non-360-degree folding screens). Additionally, HP's website also lists a new Envy X360 15.6 model with Ryzen 7040U processor.
This year's HP Envy X360 15.6-inch model is the world's first laptop certified with IMAX Enhanced. Alongside performance metrics like display quality, color accuracy, contrast ratio, and audio fidelity, the IMAX Enhanced laptop also features an exclusive aspect ratio of 1:90:1.
Display enhancements are among the notable upgrades on the new 2023 HP Envy models compared to last year's version.With the above aspect ratio, the device will provide users with a wider viewing angle, displaying over 26% more images than screens with standard ratios. Moreover, users will experience sharp and vivid action scenes in movies with IMAX standards.
The Envy x360 15.6-inch is equipped with an OLED display featuring Full HD resolution, 500 nits brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Additionally, this laptop model offers options with IPS displays featuring Full HD resolution, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, and IPS Full HD with 45% NTSC.
HP will equip 13th generation CPUs for all upcoming Envy models set to debut this year.For the 14-inch model, HP only provides an IPS panel with Full HD resolution and 45% NTSC color gamut coverage. Meanwhile, the 17-inch model will have two display options: IPS Full HD with 100% sRGB or IPS 4K with 100% DCI-P3. All new Envy models will feature touchscreens and a 5 MP webcam.
The 14-inch and 15.6-inch models will offer two CPU options: Core i5-1335U and Core i7-1355U. The HP Envy 17-inch version will have more powerful CPU options: i5-13500H, i7-13700H, and i7-1355U. The maximum supported RAM capacity is 16 GB, except for the Envy 17. All versions will support up to 1 TB SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe.
HP Envy X360 laptops with Intel Raptor Lake processors promise a smooth user experience.In terms of connectivity ports, the 14-inch model will not feature Thunderbolt ports, while the 15.6-inch and 17-inch models will have 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports. All new HP Envy models will have an SD card slot, support for Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The audio system on the laptops will be fine-tuned by Bang & Olufsen, with the 15.6-inch model also featuring DTS:X Ultra.
The battery capacity for the 14-inch model is 43 Wh, while the 15.6-inch and 17-inch models have capacities of 55 Wh. The weights for the HP 14, 15.6, and 17 models are 1.5 kg, 1.8 kg, and 2.5 kg respectively. The starting price for the 14-inch model is $850 (approximately 19.9 million VND).
The HP Envy X360 will be launched this month with a starting price of $950 (approximately 20.9 million VND). The selling price for the Envy 17 model is predicted to start from $1,150 (approximately 27 million VND).
